Brendan Boyce Racing Proposal for Sponsorship
2006 Racing Season

With the established goal of winning the NST (Northern Sprint Tour) Championship, Brendan Boyce Racing would require capital sponsorships to be invested in the program. The sponsorship would be a major sponsor along with Boyce & Sons Landscape & Building Materials and Hughes Fire Equipment of the #65 Winged Sprint car for the NST season.

Sponsorship funds would be used to allow the #65 to race a full schedule providing for tires, fuel, pit entries, general maintenance and repair. These funds would enable the #65 car to attend all regularly scheduled points races and open shows allowing #65 to chase the points championships. Furthermore, we will make our car available to your business for promotional events with prior notice.

Benefits of Sponsorship

As a sponsor of the Brendan Boyce Racing race team, a large loyal and enthusiastic audience will see your company’s name or logo on a weekly basis. They will also hear your name on a weekly basis from the track announcer and race fans. As any advertising consultant will tell you the amount of frequency that your name is exposed to a given audience plays a major role in the effectiveness of name and product awareness. Your name will not only be delivered to this audience on a weekly basis, but it will also be associated with the audience’s fun and leisure activities.

Race fans product support can be easily influenced. Below are the results from a survey conducted by the John Padjen Motor Sports in California.

Race fans were asked:

  1. Are you aware of sponsors? Yes 75% No 7%
  2. Do you support sponsors? Yes 73% No 11%
  3. Would you switch product/service? Yes 78% No 13%

Along with strengthening your name with race fans, many large and often well-funded race teams from other race areas will be frequent participants at many of the tracks Brendan Boyce Racing will be at this 2006 season. Many race teams have between 5 and 15 people they bring with them to every race (including the race crew and their fans.) So, your name is exposed to yet another group of potential customers associated with racing.

Benifits of sponsorship add up to the following;

  1. Enables you to reach a wide audience profile outside your local area.
  2. Provides long term exposure.
  3. Strengthens consumer knowledge of your company, and your market position.
  4. Creates and improves sales and distribution.
  5. Sets you ahead of competition.
  6. Builds your company image as strong, powerful and aggressive.

Utilization of a racing sponsorship in product marketing offers your company a highly visible method of developing product and brand name awareness to both the consumer and the industry.

An auto racing sponsorship is a unique advertising tool. Sponsorship is much more than the placement of your company name on a race car. Rather, it can become the focus of a total marketing/sales program aimed at a key buying audience while providing name recognition and goodwill to potential customers.
